On October 25th, metalcore stalwarts Norma Jean are set to release their highly anticipated new album, All Hail, via Solid State. The LP — which is available for pre-order here — is the follow-up to 2016’s chaotic Polar Similar, and treads a similarly chaotic path. Notably, the album’s title was inspired by the band’s fans. “The story behind the band’s name goes something like ‘it just got thrown around a few times and stuck,'” lead singer Cory Brandan has said, “and it was some fans that started throwing out Almighty many years later and, eventually, All Hail. It’s a tribute to them, by them. It got thrown around and it stuck.”

In July, Norma Jean offered up the single “[Mind Over Mind],” a crushing cut readymade for the mosh pit. Today, August 8th, they’ve dropped the song’s music video, which follows what appears to be a tribal cult in war paint and gauze masks engaging in all kinds of bloody rituals involving mysterious glowing objects and more.

“I don’t believe humans naturally live in a state of constant conflict. I think it’s perpetuated,” Brandan commented on the song and it’s strange new video. “Feel free to dive in further if you want. After that, it’s a heavy rock riff with tons of fuzz!”
