The results are in, and it’s official: Slipknot’s We Are Not Your Kind has scored a No. 1 debut on the Billboard 200 chart. The band’s critically praised sixth LP, released on August 9th via Roadrunner Records, is not only the best-selling record in the U.S. — it marks the first time any hard rock album has topped the Billboard 200 since 2017 (when the Foo Fighters dropped Concrete and Gold). The album also claimed the No. 1 spot in the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, Japan, Ireland, Belgium and Finland, and ranked in the Top 3 in Germany, France, Norway, Italy, The Netherlands and New Zealand.

Billboard reports that the ‘Knot’s latest full-length has earned 118,000 equivalent album units in the week ending August 15th (102,000 of which were in album sales). We Are Not Your Kind is Slipknot’s third consecutive No. 1 debut, along with their previous full-length, 2014’s .5: The Gray Chapter, and 2008’s All Hope Is Gone.

The outlet goes on to say that We Are Not Your Kind’s big first-week showing was boosted by album sales generated from a concert ticket/album sale redemption offer with Slipknot’s tour, which kicked off on July 26th.

The Nine’s wild new Knotfest Roadshow tour, which features next-level production and plenty of pyro, is currently hitting North American venues. Check out the upcoming dates of Knotfest Roadshow below.
