We’ll have to wait and see if “C” will be for “Creeping Death” and “K” for “Kill ‘Em All,” but the alphabet definitely just got way more metal thanks to Metallica, who have a new children’s book, The ABCS of Metallica, in the works. A “rhyming, illustrated history” of the band, it was written by Howie Abrams (The Merciless Book of Metal Lists, Misfit Summer Camp: 20 Years on the Road With the Vans Warped Tour) and illustrated by Michael “Kaves” McLeer. Proceeds from the sales ofThe ABCS of Metallica will benefit the band’s charity All Within My Hands. Through the foundation, James, Lars, Kirk and Rob have donated thousands of dollars to local food banks in each city stop on their continuing WorldWired Tour. The Big 4 thrash OGs have also held fundraising events such as 2018’s “Helping Hands … Live & Acoustic at the Masonic” concert in San Francisco.
