Danish/American hard-rock crew Volbeat — led by singer-guitarist Michael Poulsen and featuring ex-Anthrax guitarist Rob Caggiano — have a big summer head of them. In a little more than a week, they’ll join Slipknot, Gojira and Behemoth on the first-ever Knotfest Roadshow tour, and then on August 2nd, they’re set to drop their highly anticipated seventh album, Rewind, Replay, Rebound, via Republic Records. They’ve already offered up a few cuts off the LP, including the short, sharp punk-rock shock “Parasite” and the hooky, Johnny Cash–inspired sing-along “Last Day Under The Sun.” Today, July 18th, they’ve dropped a doozy, an update number called “Cheapside Sloggers” that boasts a guitar solo from none other than Gary Holt, of Exodus and Slayer fame.

“I wanted to add something new and not typical, so why not bring in Gary Holt? He is a great guitar player, and the solo sounds great,” Poulsen enthuses. Stream the song and check out the full Rewind, Replay, Rebound track listing below.
