On Friday, June 7th, Slipknot played their first proper show since 2016, blasting through a career-spanning 18-song set at Finland’s Rockfest and unveiling their big-budget new stage production — complete with lots of pyro and lots of kegs — to the delight of all the lucky Maggots in attendance. Today (June 9th), the Iowa metal juggernaut are sharing the wealth much farther and wider by livestreaming its headlining performance at Germany’s Rock am Ring. Tune in below.
Slipknot’s current European tour is set to continue through July 5th’s Resurrection Fest in Spain before they return to North America to launch the first-ever Knotfest Roadshow (see the itinerary below), with support from Volbeat, Gojira and Behemoth. The band is high gear, counting down to the August 9th release of their beyond-highly anticipated sixth album, We Are Not Your Kind. The LP is led by first single “Unsainted”,” which got its live premiere on Friday, May 17th — as did the group’s surprise Halloween single “All Out Life” — when Slipknot played the outdoor stage of Jimmy Kimmel Live!
