Rob Zombie — the man who never sleeps — has unleashed the first trailer for his highly anticipated new fright flick, 3 from Hell, which was written and directed by shock rocker and horror auteur. The movie is, of course, a follow-up to Zombie’s 2003 film House of 1000 Corpses and its 2005 sequel The Devil’s Rejects, which follows the exploits of the gleefully murderous Firefly family — who appeared to be all but dead by the conclusion of the latter film. Apparently not! As confirmed by the new 50-second teaser trailer, 3 From Hell sees the return of Sheri Moon Zombie as Baby, Bill Moseley as Otis Driftwood, and Sid Haig as Captain Spaulding, all alive and seemingly very well. Baby brandishes a knife on one scene, Otis glowers amid flames and Spaulding crackles maniacally. Looks like a chilling good time all around.

The cast of 3 From Hell also includes Danny Trejo as Rondo, Dee Wallace as Greta, Daniel Roebuck as Morris Green, Pancho Moler as Sebastian, and Bill Oberst Jr. as Tony Commando, as well as Wade Williams, Emilio Rivera, David Ury, Tom Papa, Clint Howard, Sylvia Jefferies, Billy Blair, Duane Whitaker, Jan Hoag, Dot-Marie Jones, Sean Whalen and Richard Riehle. In a shock to exactly no one, the film has been rated R for “strong sadistic violence, language throughout, sexual content, graphic nudity, and drug use.” A fall release date is expected.

Zombie also recently completely his next album, which will be issued via metal mainstay Nuclear Blast, though no release date has yet been announced for that. “I am very excited to work with the fine folks at Nuclear Blast,” the rocker commented in July 2018. “The combination of the label’s grassroots urge to get the hustle done mixed with the detonation of our most combustable [sic] melodic masterpiece yet should prove to be a winning hybrid of hellacious hullabaloo.”
