As if new masks, a new mystery band member, a big new stage production, a hit new single and a forthcoming new album aren’t enough, Slipknot have now unveiled the details of their own craft spirit, named No. 9 Iowa Whiskey. A collaboration with the Iowa-based Cedar Ridge Distillery, No. 9 Iowa Whiskey (90 proof) will go for $39.99 per bottle while No. 9 Reserve Iowa Whiskey (99 proof) will set Maggots back $69.99. The spirit will be available August 10th at select retailers across the U.S., as well as at the band’s Knotfest Roadshow North America tour.
Slipknot’s co-founder M. Shawn “Clown” Crahan said of the partnership, “Slipknot and Cedar Ridge Distillery — two groups of people born and raised in Iowa, and committed to quality and hard work. We collaborated on No. 9 Whiskey, which in addition to Iowa corn, gets some extra spice from its rye content. I hope you enjoy it as much as we do. Live life, and always be safe.”
