Rob Zombie’s New Film ‘3 From Hell’ Rated R for Violence, Nudity, Drug Use, More

As you should know unless you’ve been living under a rock, Rob Zombie has been working hard on the highly anticipated sequel to 2005’s The Devil’s Rejects, which will complete the trilogy started by 2003’s House of 1000 Corpses. Titled 3 From Hell, the film was recently completed and is tentatively slated for an early fall release (Halloween, maybe?). Now, the movie has gotten rated by the MPAA, and — surprise, surprise — the flick has gotten a hard R for “strong sadistic violence, language throughout, sexual content, graphic nudity, and drug use.” Really, would it be a Rob Zombie joint without all of the above?

In addition to returning stars Sheri Moon Zombie, Bill Moseley and Sid Haig a.k.a. the Firefly family, the cast of 3 From Hell also includes Danny Trejo, Kevin Jackson, Wade Williams, Jeff Daniel Phillips, Clint Howard, Pancho Moler, Emilio Rivera, Daniel Roebuck, David Ury, Sean Whalen, Austin Stoker, Dee Wallace, Richard Brake, Bill Oberst Jr., Richard Riehle, Dot-Marie Jones and Tom Papa. Barry Bostwick and Chaz Bono have both been confirmed for cameos.

As exciting as it is, 3 From Hell is hardly the only major project on Zombie’s plate this year. Outside of directing, the shock rocker has a new album done and ready to be dropped (no word yet on a release date for that) and he has a whole lot of live shows scheduled throughout 2019, including the latest edition of the recurring “Twins of Evil” tour with Marilyn Manson, this one subtitled “Hell Never Dies” and slated to kick off July 9th in Baltimore.
